Wayne Jacobs Wins Big Homeless With “In Cold Blood”
Wayne Jacobs Wins a Third Listeners’ Club Song Award
Wayne Jacobs Awarded UK Country Radio Listeners’ Club Award For “In Cold Blood”
The song, one of dozens of original songs written by the East London-based writer, tells the story of a homeless man, shot dead on the streets of Nashville. Receiving the Award for the third year running, Wayne said, “I’m really touched. I can’t believe it. I wrote the song ‘In Cold Blood’ about a homeless man. It’s a sad song. I just sang it from the heart and had it produced in Nashville and I’m just over the moon”.
The Great American songwriting contest said this song had greatness about it and asked what was my relationship to the homeless man was, so I changed some of the lyrics to my Homeless Friend my Brother in Arms and had it produced once more in Nashville by Tom Manche and now it is just doing so well I cannot believe it myself.
Because of the changes and the support of my 9000 fans I won ukcountryradios.com 2014 Listeners Club Award for the third year in a row. The award ceremony will be held in London on the 8th November where I will be awarded there amazing class trophy which I get to keep for another year and a awesome certificate along with radio airplay publicity. My dream is still for a famous country singer to sing one of my country songs.
